Role Description The Marketplace Specialist / E-commerce Manager is a part-time remote role responsible for managing Solar Community’s online sales channels and marketplace presence. This role includes maintaining product listings, optimizing content and pricing, and ensuring accurate inventory and availability across marketplaces and e-commerce platforms. The person in this position will monitor performance metrics, analyze sales data, and recommend improvements to increase visibility, conversion, and customer satisfaction.

Day-to-day tasks also involve coordinating with internal teams for promotions, responding to marketplace inquiries, and resolving customer issues in a timely and professional manner. This role collaborates closely with sales, operations, and marketing to support revenue growth and strengthen Solar Community’s brand in the online marketplace.

Qualifications

Strong business negotiation and sales skills to manage marketplace terms, promotions, and partnerships.





Analytical skills to interpret marketplace data, track KPIs, and optimize pricing and listings.

Excellent communication and customer service abilities for interacting with customers, platform representatives, and internal teams.

Experience with e-commerce platforms and online marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, Shopify, Etsy, or similar systems).

Working knowledge of digital marketing practices related to product listings, SEO, and promotional campaigns.

High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a remote setting.

Prior experience in renewable energy, technology, or related industries is beneficial.

Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
