The role:
Are you a Mechanical Fitter who enjoys fabrication just as much as mechanical maintenance? We're looking for a trade-qualified fitter with proven welding and fabrication skills to help keep our concrete plants operating at their best.
In this varied, field-based role, you'll carry out preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, fabrication and plant improvement projects across multiple concrete sites throughout Perth. Based from either Hazelmere or Wangara, you'll travel between sites in a fully maintained Tool of Trade vehicle, working on a diverse range of fixed plant equipment where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on concrete plant equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs to minimise production downtime.
- Complete daily fabrication and welding tasks, including modifying and manufacturing plant components.
- Service and maintain conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, valves, pumps, material handling systems, silos and concrete mixers.
- Install replacement components and undertake plant improvement projects.
- Inspect equipment, identify wear or defects and recommend maintenance solutions.
- Work closely with production teams to safely complete maintenance with minimal disruption to operations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and report equipment issues.
- Follow all safety procedures, risk assessments and permit requirements while maintaining a strong safety-first culture.
This is a permanent day shift position, typically working Monday to Friday with regular half-day Saturdays, supporting our concrete operations across the Perth metro area.
About You

- Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Engineering or a related trade.
- Welding certification with proven fabrication and TIG welding experience (essential).
- Strong fabrication and boilermaking capabilities.
- Experience maintaining fixed plant in industries such as concrete, cement, quarrying, mining, steel or manufacturing.

- Strong fault-finding and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Current driver's licence (HR licence preferred).
- A proactive approach to safety and quality.
- The ability to work independently while also contributing to a close-knit team.
