Summary

IND is a South Australian based industrial maintenance services organisation specialising in asset and infrastructure services. We are based in Wingfield (South Australia) with satellite operations throughout Australia.

We are seeking a motivated and mechanically minded All-Rounder to join our team. This role encompasses various maintenance tasks including engine servicing and repairs, blasting and painting and general equipment and plant maintenance , basic mechanical fitting, welding, fabrication and plumbing.

As our Mechanical All-Rounder, you'll be hands-on, capable of turning your skills to a variety of mechanical tasks across our projects and remote client sites. This is a varied role suited to someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys the challenge of different jobs, sites, and equipment.

You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects across diverse industries, including mining, oil and gas, water and wastewater, defence, manufacturing, infrastructure and more. Full time and casual opportunities with penalty rates, overtime and remote allowances and more are available.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

- Maintenance and servicing of plant and engine powered equipment, including:
- Air Compressors
- Generators
- Blast pots
- Dust collectors
- De-humidifiers
- Spray pumps
- Pressure washers
- Vehicles

- Mechanical fitting and assembly.
- Basic level welding experience.
- Fabrication including sheet metal cutting, forming and fitting.
- Air line plumbing.
- Operate forklifts to conduct loading and unloading of shipments from trucks and vehicles.
- Ensuring standardised containers, toolboxes and spares kits are fully stocked to stock sheets.
- Prepare outgoing shipments for dispatch,



ensuring items are checked and packed correctly.
- Actively participate in and provide feedback through all HSEQ activities, including workshop and site inspections, toolbox talks, pre-start meetings, and vehicle/plant pre-start inspections.
- Other duties as required.

Experience, Knowledge and Skill Requirements

- Mechanical maintenance, servicing and repair of diesel powered machinery.
- Desirable experience with the maintenance of abrasive blasting and spray painting machinery and equipment (not essential).
- High level experience operating a forklift (including jib and sling attachments to move awkward loads).
- Proven ability to work independently and as a member of a team, manage own performance and work with the initiative to achieve expected outcomes.
- Strong organisational skills, specifically the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Valuable communication skills including writing.

Training, Licences and Qualifications

Required

- Current driver's licence (own reliable transport preferred)

Desirable:
- Industry white card

- HRWL forklift licence
- HR or HC truck driver’s licence

- Dogging/rigging licence
- Experience in Agricultural Services, Mechanical Fitting, Diesel/Plant Mechanics, Boilermaking, Welding or similar
- Prior mine site, agricultural or industrial maintenance experience
- Computer skills including the ability to use digital forms, send emails and update registers using online software.
