Calderwood Medical Centre is a brand new, modern bulk billing general practice opening in the growing Calderwood Village community. We are committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred healthcare in a welcoming and professional environment.

We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team on a casual basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy general practice and providing outstanding customer service to patients.

The role will primarily consist of regular half-day weekday shifts, with additional hours available to cover annual leave, sick leave and periods of increased patient demand. Availability to work occasional weekends is highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

- Greeting patients and providing exceptional customer service
- Answering incoming phone calls and managing appointment bookings
- Registering current patients and maintaining accurate patient records
- Processing Medicare claims, billing and EFTPOS payments
- Managing recalls, reminders and appointment schedules
- Liaising with doctors, nurses and allied health professionals




- General reception and administrative duties
- Maintaining a professional and organised reception area

Essential Requirements

- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist in General Practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment
- High attention to detail
- Professional presentation and positive attitude
- Reliable, punctual and flexible

Desirable

- Experience using Best Practice software
- Experience using HotDoc
- Knowledge of Medicare billing and claiming
- Availability to work occasional weekends
- Flexibility to cover additional shifts when required
