Who we are?
Police Bank is one of Australia’s fastest growing Mutual Banks. We are a progressive, purpose-driven financial institution, and we pride ourselves on offering a competitive range of financial products and services, all of which have been created with the needs of our members at front of mind.
The Opportunity
We have an exciting part-time opportunity for a Member Support & Entity Onboarding Officer to join our Operations team based in Surry Hills.
In this specialist role, you will be responsible for managing non-individual membership onboarding and maintenance, supporting vulnerable members, and administering Power of Attorney arrangements. You’ll play an important role in ensuring member information is accurate, regulatory obligations are met, and members receive professional, empathetic and timely support.
This role will suit someone who enjoys balancing customer care, compliance, documentation and risk management, while working through more complex member situations with sensitivity and attention to detail.
What you’ll be doing?
- Manage onboarding and ongoing maintenance of non-individual memberships and associated accounts.
- Update ownership structures, authorised signatories and operating authorities.
- Support members experiencing vulnerability, including financial vulnerability, elder abuse, family violence, illness, disability, bereavement or other challenging circumstances.
- Review, assess and process Power of Attorney authorities in line with AML/CTF requirements.
- Manage inbound and outbound calls, correspondence and member enquiries.
- Liaise with solicitors, attorneys, executors and authorised representatives where required.
- Maintain accurate records, supporting documentation and audit trails.
- Escalate high-risk matters appropriately and help ensure strong member outcomes.
What we are looking for? You’ll bring a strong customer, operations, banking or compliance background, along with the ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism and care.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Experience within retail banking, customer operations, membership onboarding, financial crime or compliance functions.
- Experience establishing and maintaining customer accounts or memberships.
- Strong understanding of customer identification, supporting documentation and accurate record keeping.
- Experience applying AML/CTF requirements and customer due diligence obligations.
- Confidence managing complex customer maintenance requests, including authority updates and account amendments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and case management skills.
- The ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with empathy, discretion and professionalism.
Experience managing vulnerable member cases, processing Power of Attorney authorities, or onboarding trusts, companies, associations and other non-individual entities would be highly regarded.
