Help aHead Caringbah is a person-centred service hub bringing together mental health, alcohol and other drug, physical health, and psychosocial supports. Join our multidisciplinary team delivering comprehensive assessments, clinical interventions, and recovery-focused care across South Sydney and the Sutherland Shire.

We are seeking a Credentialed Mental Health Nurse who is passionate about person-centred care and collaborative practice within an integrated health service.

About the role

As a Mental Health Nurse, you will provide specialist nursing expertise within a multidisciplinary team, delivering comprehensive mental health assessments and evidence-based interventions that support recovery and wellbeing. You will integrate physical health screening into mental health care and collaborate with primary care and other services.

This role is a part-time 30 hours/week, 12-month fixed term position (to 30 June 2027) with potential extension.

The service operates Monday–Friday, with some extended hours up to 7pm on two days per week.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver brief, evidence-based mental health nursing interventions (individual and group)
- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments




- Contribute to recovery-focused wellbeing plans
- Integrate physical health screening and monitoring into care

Skills & Experience

You will have

1. Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1), Credentialed Mental Health Nurse status with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (or application in progress)
2. Experience conducting mental health assessments and collaborative care planning
3. Demonstrated ability to deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions
4. Understanding of the biological, psychological and social determinants of mental health
