Role Overview

The role is for a Solutions Architect to join key Federal Government programs. This is a 12‑month maximum term contract. The Architect will drive design and definition of the system architecture for complex systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Design scalable, secure, and resilient hybrid cloud architectures across public cloud and VMware‑based private cloud platforms.
- Contribute to cloud adoption strategies including migration, modernisation, and platform roadmaps.
- Lead automation enablement using Ansible to standardise provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management.
- Guide application and workload migrations from on‑premise or legacy environments with minimal disruption.
- Provide technical leadership, governance, and continuous improvement across cloud platforms, ensuring performance, security, and optimisation.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience designing hybrid cloud architectures and delivering solutions across public, private,



and hybrid environments.
- Robust expertise in VMware technologies and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP), including infrastructure integration and virtualisation.
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, alongside knowledge of enterprise platforms including Windows, RHEL, Cisco, databases, and Microsoft stack.
- Ability to design secure, compliant solutions aligned to governance and regulatory requirements, with strong analytical problem‑solving skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in ICT (or related field) with proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Requirements

Applicants must be Australian citizens and be able to obtain a baseline level security clearance.
