Motor Mechanic-Full-time Motor Mechanic-Full-time position vacant at automotive workshop Gladstone Tyres & Auto Pty Ltd trading as Tyrepower Gladstone, ABN: 88 646 303 648, at 93 Hanson Road, Gladstone, Qld-4680. Minimum 38 hours a week.

Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles.

Repair and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components and referring to service manuals as needed.

Detecting and diagnosing faults in engines and parts with the assistance of computers.

Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts.

check and repair suspensions, brakes and wheel alignments of automotive vehicles.

Reassembling engines and parts following repair.

Manage stock reordering and inventory as directed, putting the stock (for example brakes, sparkplugs, oil filters) at the proper places.

Maintain and manage tools, equipment, and machinery in good condition.





Deliver outstanding customer service at all times, ensuring a professional and polite manner when communicating with customers.

Full adherence to regulations, relating to pollution and health and safety at all times.

Maintaining a clean and safe working setting through ensuring the correct operation of all tools and specialised equipment.

Coordinating with other mechanics where teamwork was needed.

Applicant Must Have

Completed at least Cert-III in automotive and at least 3 years of full time work experience as a motor mechanic.

Experience in servicing Hybrid cars would be preferred. Must know how to work on Asian, Intercontinental and European car models.

Must hold a current driver's license and Licensed Vehicle Tester A desire to achieve results.

Annual

Salary (depending on experience/skills) between $79,000 - $82,000 plus superannuation. Only successful candidates will be contacted.
