- Provide expert medical assessment and management of patients within the O&G; Specialty Departments across the district.
- Demonstrate broad-based generalist experience in: intrapartum care, antenatal clinics, Gynaecology theatre and acute presentations.
- Work within the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, including at Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital to meet operational needs and supervisory requirements. Qualifications
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (FRANZCOG)



or equivalent as required by the Health Insurance Act 1997 and Staff Specialists (NSW) Award.
- Evidence of Continuing Medical Education and self-monitoring/audit practices consistent with the scope of practice requirements.
- Sound clinical knowledge and experience across the generalist scope of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, including intrapartum care and acute Gynaecology, and participation in quality assurance activities relevant to the speciality.
- High level interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to teaching and junior medical staff supervision consistent with contemporary best practice supervision standards.
- Skilled behaviour modelling for junior medical staff.
- Familiarity with research concepts and commitment to support research as required within the Department. Conditions of appointment
- Conditions of appointment are in accordance with the Health Services Act 1997, and Staff Specialists (State) Award.
- Employees and Contractors must abide by the NSW Health Code of Conduct.
- Working with Children Check (WWCC) issued by the Office of the Children’s Guardian is required.
