About Us
Hand & Home Disability Services is a family-owned business built on strong values and a genuine commitment to our team. We provide a broad range of NDIS supports — including Supported Independent Living (SIL), Medium Term Accommodation (MTA), and Short Term Accommodation (STA) — across Sydney's Inner West, Eastern Suburbs, and Sutherland. As we continue to grow, we need extra support to scale our operations while continuing to deliver the high-quality, personalised service we're proud of.
Role Description
Reporting directly to our Managing Directors, the Operations Manager will own day-to-day compliance, staff administration, participant support processes, and operational systems — freeing our leadership team to focus on strategy and growth. This is a hands-on role with genuine influence over how the business runs: you won't just be following a playbook, you'll be helping write it.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance & risk management — track NDIS Worker Screening, WWCC, training and qualification compliance; maintain registers and prepare audit-ready documentation for NDIS reviews
- Staff onboarding & administration — manage end-to-end onboarding, systems access, and staff records across Vertex360 and Google Workspace
- Participant & intake administration — support new participant onboarding, funding tracking, referrals, and review scheduling
- Reporting & stakeholder communication — prepare monthly case note reports for Support Coordinators and families, and respond to enquiries
- Operational systems — manage staff rosters, own key registers (incidents, complaints, training, restrictive practices) and refine SOPs
Key Requirements
- Experience in administration, compliance, or operations within disability, aged care, healthcare, or another regulated sector
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple compliance requirements and maintain accurate records
- Experience preparing reports for external stakeholders (coordinators, families, or regulators)
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; confident picking up new systems
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with leadership and external parties
- Understanding of NDIS standards, Aged Care regulations, or similar compliance frameworks (or a solid willingness to learn)
- Experience with NDIS audit compliance processes
Why Join Us
- Direct access to and mentorship from our Managing Directors — this isn't a role buried in a large hierarchy
- Real ownership over the systems and processes you build
- Genuine flexibility: hybrid work, negotiable hours (typically ~30/week)
- Superannuation and professional development support
