About the role

We're looking for a fun and energetic person to work with us at our after school centre at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Waterloo. We are a popular, family-run childcare business based in the Sydey, looking for a dedicated OOSH staff to work - preferably all afternoons (only)- on a casual basis throughout the week.

The role is perfect for anyone, including students, retirees and anyone in between. We're adaptable and easy-going employers and offer any training you need in-house.

Job tasks and responsibilities

- Assist in meal preparation for before or after school care sessions
- Mark the rolls and contact parents
- Supervise children
- Help plan activities




- Participate in excursions or incursions
- Record daily observations

Skills and experience

- Working with Children Check - required
- Current First aid certificate - including CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis. - required
- Child protection - required
- Food safety - not required but must obtain as part of ongoing employment
- Skills in connecting and communicating with children and families
- Minimum 6+ months formal experience working with children is desirable
- Preferably living local!
- Minimum age requirement of 18+ years

About the centre Our centre operates from 3:00pm to 6:00pm in the evenings. We have a team from all walks of life who each have contributed to the centre in their own way, and we take pride in the way we present.
