Your new role PTS is seeking an experienced data and analytics professional to establish and lead a Driver Performance Analytics Program. The role will bring together data from multiple operational systems, including telematics, fleet management and rostering platforms, to provide a comprehensive view of bus operator driving performance and identify opportunities to improve safety, fuel efficiency, vehicle utilisation and customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop a Driver Performance Analytics Framework for Public Transport Services.
- Integrate data sources including Webfleet, HASTUS, vehicle telematics and other operational systems.
- Establish data models linking drivers, vehicles, shifts, routes and operational performance metrics.
- Define and implement driver performance measures, including:
1. Harsh braking
2. Harsh acceleration
3. Harsh cornering
4. Speed events
5. Idling
6. Fuel consumption
7. Vehicle utilisation measures

- Develop Power BI dashboards and executive reporting products.
- Design and implement a Driver Performance Scorecard methodology.

What you'll need to succeed





- Tertiary qualification in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, Transport, Statistics or a related discipline.
- Current Queensland Driver Licence.
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex analytics or data integration projects.
- Advanced Power BI development capability.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required Council system access.

Required skills and experience: Data & Analytics

- Advanced Power BI development and dashboard design experience.
- Strong SQL and data modelling capability.
- Experience integrating multiple data sources into a single reporting environment.
- Proven experience designing KPI frameworks and performance measurement systems.
- Experience undertaking trend analysis, predictive analysis and operational performance reporting.
- Strong understanding of data quality management and governance practices.

Project Delivery

- Experience leading analytics, technology or business improvement projects.
- Ability to develop project plans, delivery schedules and implementation roadmaps.
- Experience translating business problems into practical analytical solutions.
- Proven ability to deliver tangible outcomes within tight timeframes.





Stakeholder Engagement

- Demonstrated ability to work with operational, technical and external stakeholders.
- Experience engaging technology vendors and third-party providers.
- Strong facilitation and workshop leadership skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings to senior leaders.

Desirable Experience

- Webfleet telematics platform experience.
- HASTUS workforce or scheduling system experience.
- Transport operations or fleet management experience.
- Driver behaviour monitoring and telematics analytics experience.
- Public sector or large operational organisation experience.
