At the Y Canberra Region, we're seeking an enthusiastic OSHC Assistant Educator who is committed to enriching children's lives through learning, play, and positive experiences.

About the Role We're currently recruiting a Part time OSHC Assistant Educator for Kaleen Primary School OSHC who thrives in an inclusive and collaborative environment. In this role, you will - Create engaging, play-based learning experiences for school-aged children.

- Support children's learning, wellbeing and development through meaningful interactions and activities.
- Work collaboratively as part of a supportive and passionate team.
- Contribute to the planning, implementation and evaluation of educational programs in line with the My Time, Our Place Framework.

What We're Looking For Availability to work split shifts:

- 7:00am – 9:00am - 2:30pm – 6:00pm - Experience working or volunteering with children.
- Current Paid ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.




- Foundations of Child Safety Training (or willingness to obtain before commencement).
- Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and My Time, Our Place (desirable).
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law, Education and Care Services National Regulations, and the National Quality Framework.
- Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Current First Aid (HLTAID012 or equivalent) and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.
- Current Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification, or willingness to obtain.
- Foundations of Child Safety Training, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
- ACT Government Keeping Children and Young People Safe training, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement. Why Join the Y?
