Devonport Child Care Centres is an inclusive early learning service, with a motivated and inspired team of dedicated educators. We are a community based not-for-profit organisation, providing education and care for children from birth to 12 years across two centre-based services and five outside school hours services.
Devonport Child Care Centres currently have vacancies for permanent part-time Educators to join our OSHC team. Working with children in before and after school care and vacation care, OSHC Educators will ensure children’s safety and well-being by putting children at the centre of everything they do. We are looking for someone with a genuine desire to foster and support children’s learning and development.
Key Responsibilites
- Work collaboratively with the OSHC team to provide high quality care for children.
- Actively supervise children at all times, ensuring their health, safety, and well-being.
- Set up engaging educational and recreational environments for children.
- Actively engage with children and promote positive interactions.
- Develop respectful relationships with children.
- Assist with afternoon tea, meeting all requirements around food safety and preparation.
- Contribute to the OSHC program, planning experiences that are child-led and play based to support children's development.
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations within the service as well as under the National Quality Framework (NQF).
- Availability to work up to 5 mornings and afternoons each week, between the hours of 6.30am-8.45am and 2.30pm-6.00pm
- Able to work shifts during the school holidays.

- Strong work ethic built on reliability and punctuality.
- Current state-based National Child Safety training (or ability to obtain prior to employment)
- Able to attend staff meetings and take part in ongoing professional development.
