ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for an enthusiastic Catering Assistant who enjoys preparing quality food, delivering outstanding customer service and being part of a supportive team. If you thrive in a busy environment and take pride in creating a welcoming experience for others, we'd love to hear from you. The Catering Assistant provides friendly, efficient, and high-quality food and beverage preparation and services at the Wodonga TAFE cafeteria and Kids on Campus Childcare Centre. You'll join a close-knit team where your contribution is valued. Whether you're serving students in the café, preparing meals for children or helping deliver successful events, you'll make a genuine difference every day. The successful candidate will have availability Monday to Friday between the hours of 7am and 5pm and for the occasional evening or weekend shift as per site requirements. If required, they will be pre agreed upon between the employee and their supervisor. Selected Duties: Provide excellent customer service. Preparation of daily food and beverage services at Wodonga Tafe’s Cafeteria, Kids on Campus childcare centre, functions and events as required. Receive, rotate and store all deliveries correctly. Maintain fridge levels and rotate stock whilst restocking. Monitor food temperatures and temperatures of refrigerators.

ABOUT YOU

Essential Experience in food preparation within a café, catering or hospitality environment. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of hygiene, food safety,



and workplace safety requirements. Reliable, punctual and professional. Current Australian Drivers Licence. Must be able to undertake a pre-employment medical. Desirable Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA). Australian Food Handling Certificate. Barista experience or coffee-making skills are highly regarded.
