About the Role

As a Financial Lines Underwriter, you will play a key role in assessing and underwriting risks in alignment with binding authority contracts, rating guidelines, and organisational procedures. This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in managing binder portfolios, ensuring profitability, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and company standards. You will also build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Gallagher brokers, insurers, and claims handlers, while delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities

- Articulate the OMP value proposition and align it with dominant priorities
- Support the management of binder portfolios to achieve and maintain profitability
- Assist in reaching revenue targets and prepare referrals for market submissions
- Manage administrative tasks such as renewals, debtors, policy issuance, and submission registers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Gallagher brokers, insurers, and other business partners




- Monitor and report on key relationship statuses to ensure high standards are upheld
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, company, and delegated authority requirements to meet audit standards
- Participate in personal and career development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge

Skills & Experience

- 2+ years of experience in a similar underwriting role
- Strong product, market, and policy wording knowledge
- Knowledge of the local and Lloyd’s of London markets is highly desirable
- A meticulous approach to tasks with a focus on achieving sales development goals
- Proactive attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes
