This role is part of the VLAB Works team within Cadence, supporting high-performance virtual platforms, virtual development environments, and fast models for embedded and automotive software development. The role provides coordination across engineering leads, project milestones, resource planning, customer commitments, and cross-functional execution.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in program coordination, project management, engineering operations, software delivery, or a related technical setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical teams and stakeholders
- Experience coordinating software or engineering projects using agile practices, sprint planning, milestone tracking, and delivery follow-up
- Working knowledge of project and engineering collaboration tools such as GitHub Issues, GitHub Projects, GitHub Actions, Jira, or equivalent
- Basic scripting or automation capability, preferably using Python, Bash, or AI-assisted workflow automation
- Structured, proactive, and detail-oriented,
with the ability to follow up across multiple parallel workstreams
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day project activity with project leads, including task tracking and follow-up on actions
- Maintain project plans, schedules, and status updates in agreed tools
- Maintain resource allocation and staffing plans, including availability, assignments, and forecast demand
- Surface resource conflicts, gaps, and capacity risks early
- Track sprint progress, milestones, and key deliverables
- Prepare regular status reports covering progress, risks, dependencies, and blockers
- Escalate risks and blockers with clear context and proposed actions
- Monitor sales pipeline activity and translate opportunities into early resourcing inputs
- Maintain visibility between pipeline demand and team capacity
- Coordinate effort estimation inputs with technical leads
- Track scope, staffing needs, and delivery commitments
- Identify and improve coordination workflows and processes
- Use AI tools to improve reporting, planning, action tracking, and workflow automation
