About The Team

The Clearing Risk Control, Data and Reporting team provides oversight of day‑to‑day market, counterparty credit and liquidity risk exposures across ASX Clearing Houses and supports effective default management preparedness and response.

What You Will Be Doing

As a people‑leader, you will undertake the core responsibilities listed below while fostering a collaborative, inclusive team setting.

- Lead the operation of key risk controls, ensuring daily and periodic control execution, monitoring effectiveness and timely issue remediation.
- Manage and improve risk processes, review control design and operating effectiveness, conduct annual control testing, maintain up‑to‑date procedures and train staff accordingly.
- Drive improvements in financial‑risk management oversight, shifting from reactive to proactive management of clearing risks.
- Where appropriate, support default management fire drills.
- Partner closely with Quantitative Analytics, Quantitative Development, Model Risk and Policy teams to enhance modelling, risk insights and decision usefulness.
- Work closely with line‑1 teams on new products and clearing services, providing SME input on financial risk considerations and supporting change activities including UAT and testing.
- Manage regulatory, audit and self‑identified issues, ensuring work is completed to a suitable standard and on schedule.
- Contribute to and write papers for CS Boards, ASX Risk Consultative Committee and internal Risk Governance Working Groups as required.
- Manage engagements with external stakeholders, including consultants, market participants and regulatory agencies.

What You Will Bring

Must have





- 8+ years of domestic or international experience in traded‑market risk and liquidity risk management/controls in local or global financial institutions.
- Deep understanding of financial risk management concepts, including exposure to market, credit and liquidity risk, and a track record of managing and uplifting risk frameworks.
- Grasp of global markets, economic conditions and geopolitics and ability to assess emerging risks to ASX Clearing Houses.
- Strong analytical skills for complex risk management and business problems.
- Ability to interpret model specifications and assess practical model implications for clearing participants and positions.
- Academic qualifications in a quantitative or financial discipline.
- Project delivery and change‑management experience in a financial‑risk context.
- Coaching and development experience with team members.
- Experience working with external stakeholders, including customers and regulatory agencies.

Nice to Have

- Experience in a clearing house.
- Experience managing a small team.
- Knowledge of ASX Derivatives products.
- Understanding of central counterparty activities.
- Knowledge of the Australian financial regulatory environment.
