Master Plumbers' Association of Queensland (MPAQ) is the peak industry body representing plumbing contractors throughout Queensland, from sole operators to large contracting firms. Role Description

We have a full-time permanent position available in our dynamic Technical team.

As an integral member of our small team, you will be part of achieving our strategic objective to provide quality plumbing technical advice and deliver post-trade training to the plumbing industry.

Primarily, the work will be conducted from our office located in Acacia Ridge on Brisbane's Southside, and we run training and technical information events all over Queensland. This role will require travel.

Responsibilities





- Providing technical advice of relevant plumbing legislation, Australian Standards etc.
- Representing, liaising and supporting members and the industry.
- Developing and writing technical articles and resources for members and industry.
- Performing ad hoc site inspections and preparing written reports as required.
- Researching, developing and writing relevant training courses for industry.

Qualifications

As a licensed Plumbing, Drainage and Gas professional, you will possess the following:

- A current and valid plumbing and gas license
- A current and valid Queensland plumbing and gas fitting licence
- A minimum of four (4) years Plumbing, Drainage and Gas experience
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service focus and excellent communication (written and verbal) skills at all levels.
- Working knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and plumbing legislation
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel and the ability to learn office-specific software (mandatory)
- High level of accountability and responsibility.
- Honest, reliable, punctual and with a versatile approach.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team, solve problems and take initiative
