Sound Beginnings Allied Health is a growing, family-centred paediatric speech pathology practice based in Ashgrove, Brisbane. We support feeding and communication needs in -
- babies
- toddlers
- children up to 14 years of age.
Our clinic also offers Lactation Consultations and Orofacial Myology. We are considering planning to expand into offering adult speech pathology services in fluency, SpeakOut program, and adult dysphagia as well as paediatric ADOS assessments. This would be alongside a majority Paediatric service. We are seeking a passionate and motivated Speech Pathologist to join our team full time or part-time. This role offers a diverse and rewarding caseload across clinic and community settings, with flexibility to tailor your week.
You will provide assessment and therapy for children presenting with:
- Speech sound delays/disorders
- Language delays and comprehension difficulties
- Early communication
- Literacy
- Fluency
- If experienced, also feeding difficulties - restricted diets, dysphagia, feeding delays
You will work closely with the children, families, educators, and other professionals to deliver evidence-based, functional, and engaging therapy that supports real-world outcomes for children.

Our Ideal Candidate
- A knowledge of and passion for paediatric speech pathology
- An interest in our caseload areas and examples of extra learning you have undertaken
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent skills in time management, organisation and reflective practice
- A proactive approach to your own continuous learning and interest in sharing information with the team to promote a learning environment
- Experience with or desire to provide supervision to junior Speech Pathologists, Allied Health Assistants and Students
- Your own vehicle for home / school visits and a current Australian driver's license
