This role involves working across full and partial restorations, from strip-down through to show-quality finish.
About Us
Ol' School Garage is a specialist workshop focused on classic restorations, hot rods, and custom builds - built to a standard you can be proud of. We're a small, experienced team that values craftsmanship, problem-solving, and doing the job right the first time. Our work is varied, challenging, and involves full vehicle builds rather than repetitive production work.
Key Responsibilities
- Rust repairs and panel fabrication
- Metal shaping and hammer & dolly work
- Panel fitment, alignment and gapping
- Repairing and replacing panels and structural components
- Working across full vehicle restorations
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and workshop safety
Skills & Experience
- Solid experience in restoration panel beating
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Ability to repair panels properly - not rely on filler
- Valuable problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Highly regarded:
- Welding (MIG, TIG, Oxy)
- Fabrication skills (English wheel, shrinker/stretcher, bead roller)
- Experience with classic or custom builds
- Coachbuilding experience
