Assistant Accountant Adelaide Profile Services (APS) | Lonsdale, SA Annual Salary: $79,499 - $86,000

Adelaide Profile Services (APS) is one of South Australia's leading steel processing and manufacturing businesses, supplying the Defence, Mining, Infrastructure, Energy and Heavy Industry sectors. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a broad, hands-on role that will see you involved in all aspects of the finance function while contributing to the continuous improvement of our financial systems and processes.

- Accounts Receivable including invoicing, debtor management, reconciliations and credit control
- Accounts Payable processing, supplier reconciliations and payment preparation
- Weekly payroll processing using Employment Hero
- General ledger reconciliations, journals and month-end activities
- Bank, inventory and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with BAS preparation and monthly management reporting
- Customer and supplier account management
- Financial reporting, analysis and continuous process improvement




- Support the Finance team with ad-hoc accounting and administrative duties

About You

- Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar accounting position
- Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and
- General Ledger accounting
- Payroll processing experience (Employment Hero experience highly regarded)
- Experience using MYOB (Opto experience advantageous but not essential)
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
