About the role

Ayr ANZAC Memorial Club is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Hospitality Supervisor to join our management team on a full-time basis. Based in Ayr, Queensland, this is a pivotal position that will oversee daily hospitality operations and ensure our members and guests receive exceptional service. As Hospitality Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards our club is known for, whilst managing staff and contributing to the overall success and profitability of our venue.

Key responsibilities

- Supervise and manage hospitality staff across all service areas including bars, dining and gaming areas

- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality customer service to all members and guests

- Train, mentor and support staff to maintain professional standards and excellent hospitality practices

- Monitor and manage stock levels, ordering and inventory control for beverages and supplies

- Maintain compliance with all relevant legislation including responsible service of alcohol and gaming regulations

- Manage shift scheduling and rostering to ensure appropriate staffing levels

- Handle member and guest complaints professionally and resolve issues to ensure satisfaction

- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards across all hospitality areas

- Liaise with management on operational matters and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

- Process cash and electronic transactions accurately and securely

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in hospitality supervision or management within a club, bar, restaurant or similar venue

- Strong knowledge of responsible service of alcohol and gaming compliance requirements, including but not limited to TAB, Keno and Poker machines.

- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and tact

- Demonstrated leadership ability with experience training and motivating hospitality staff





- Sound understanding of health and safety requirements in hospitality environments

- Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and hospitality management software

- Strong organisational and time management skills

- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

- Current RSA; RSG; RMLV mandatory. Approved Manager's Licence (advantageous).

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
