About The Role

As an Intermediate Accountant, you0ll contribute to delivering quality work for our clients while continuing to develop your technical capability. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements and tax returns for individuals, companies, and trusts, handling BAS, IAS, and other compliance tasks, contributing to tax planning and advisory projects, developing supporting documentation, and liaising with the ATO on client matters.

You0ll manage your own workflow with some oversight, ensure tasks progress smoothly, and communicate progress. You0ll engage with clients through written communication and occasional meetings to support relationship building. Collaboration is a key component of the role—you0ll support junior team members, share knowledge with peers, and contribute to a positive, connected team environment.

Professional development is a key focus at Bentleys. You0ll keep your technical knowledge current through training, research, and on-the-job learning, while expanding your understanding of tax legislation,



advisory work, and accounting standards.

About You

You have a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics and at least one year of experience in public practice. You understand the fundamentals of Australian tax legislation and are comfortable using the Microsoft Suite (particularly Excel) and common accounting platforms like Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks.

You are a collaborative team member who contributes to collective success. You deliver work with accuracy, meet deadlines, and communicate when you need support or clarity. You0re curious, eager to build your technical expertise, and open to learning new ways of working. Most importantly, you are client-focused, adaptable, and ready to grow your career in an environment that encourages learning and professional development.
