We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pavement Advisor to support asphalt paving operations across a range of infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for monitoring pavement compaction and quality outcomes, providing real-time feedback to operational teams, conducting testing activities, and ensuring works are delivered to specification.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in asphalt, civil construction, laboratory testing, or quality assurance who enjoys working in a hands-on field environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor asphalt compaction using specialised testing equipment.
- Collect, record and interpret pavement quality data.
- Identify and mark locations for pavement coring and testing.
- Provide real-time feedback to supervisors and project teams regarding compaction performance.
- Complete daily quality and production reports.
- Conduct asphalt and pavement testing in accordance with relevant specifications and procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with safety, environmental and quality requirements.
About You
- Experience in asphalt, road construction, civil construction, materials testing or a related field.
- Understanding of pavement construction and compaction principles.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to communicate effectively with site crews and project teams.
- Comfortable using testing equipment and digital reporting systems.
- Current driver's licence.
- Willingness to travel and work occasional night shifts and weekends as required.
