Every day, the Royal Flying Doctor Service Western Australia connects people, places and possibilities across some of Australia’s most remote regions. Operating across one of the world’s largest aeromedical jurisdictions, we deliver essential primary healthcare and emergency aeromedical retrieval services where they are needed most.

Join our November 2026 Ground School intake, completing initial training before transitioning into line operations across our Western Australian regional base network. Market-competitive salary from $140,962 plus superannuation following Check to Line, increasing up to $163,909 with service, plus a district allowance of up to $18,598, not-for-profit salary packaging, regional allowances, relocation assistance, housing support and benefits.

About the role As a PC-12 Line Pilot, you’ll fly alongside experienced medical and aviation teams, supporting doctors and nurses on critical missions across Western Australia. You will conduct aeromedical retrievals, Inter-hospital transfers, Primary healthcare flights and Remote and regional operations across vast distances Every mission requires professionalism, leadership and sound aviation judgement. You’ll operate within a strong safety and governance framework, working closely with medical crews, engineers and operations staff to deliver safe, reliable and compassionate aeromedical services.

This is hands-on, purposeful flying where your skills directly support patient outcomes and community access to healthcare.

Minimum Requirements

Australian CPL or ATPL

Current CASA Class 1 Medical

Current Instrument Rating

Minimum 1,500 hours total flight time

Minimum 60 hours night flying

Recent IFR experience, including a current or recent IPC

Available for the November 2026 RFDS WA Ground School intake

Willing to commit to a regional posting for up to two years Additional experience in single-pilot IFR, regional or remote operations, turbine and pressurised aircraft, aeromedical operations or charter flying will be highly regarded.
