Role Description The People & Culture Business Partner is a maternity cover contract, remote and/or hybrid role responsible for supporting leaders and team members across the organisation with strategic and operational people initiatives. Day-to-day activities include advising on people policies and practices, partnering with managers on workforce planning, performance management, and talent development, and supporting employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
The role will design and implement people programs, such as onboarding, capability building, and feedback mechanisms, to strengthen culture and support business goals.
The People & Culture Business Partner will also support HR operations, including policy review, employee relations, and compliance, while collaborating closely with global teams to ensure consistent, inclusive, and future-focused people practices.
Qualifications
- Experience in People & Culture / HR business partnering, including supporting leaders with workforce planning, performance management, and employee relations.
- Skills in developing and implementing people programs, such as onboarding, learning and development initiatives, and engagement or culture-building activities.
- Ability to manage HR operations and processes, including policy development, compliance, documentation, and continuous improvement of people practices.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse, global, and remote teams.
- Demonstrated capability in change management and organisational development, especially in quick-paced, high-growth or technology-focused environments.
- Proficiency in using HR information systems and collaboration tools to support remote work and data-informed decision-making.
- Experience working in or with deep tech, research, or innovation-driven organizations is beneficial.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
