About the Role

Little Big Swim has a rare permanent part-time role (20 hours) for the right person.

If you are committed in the outcomes of your students, if you’ve ever felt held back by rigid programs or lack of support, this job may be right up your ally.

Working independently and part of a highly invested team and reporting to the Head Coach, you’ll divide your time between:

Bunya — Learn to Swim Pool

Our roasty-toasty 32°C saltwater mineral outdoor pool (partially shaded) is home to Babies, Kindy and Stroke Development.

- One class at a time in our 12m pool
- Small class ratios
- Quiet, distraction-free environment
- Where teachers refine their craft and class management skills

Teaching here is a gift — you truly capture attention, imagination, and trust.

Samford — Stroke Development & Squad Pool

Our 9-lane, 25m saltwater pool hosts Stroke Development, Mini Squad and Squad.

We work closely with the Samford Stingrays Swim Club and play a key role in developing their swimmers.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Teaching Baby to Kindy Aquatics at Bunya
- Teaching Stroke Development and/or Mini Squads across Bunya and Samford
- Delivering correction-driven instruction across all age groups
- Creating a secure emotional space for swimmers to learn, try, and build confidence
- Supporting swimmers through what is often their first experience with a coach or teacher outside formal education

What We’re Looking For

Experience is great (2+ years ideal), but the right person matters more.

At Little Big Swim, our core team works across these spaces, creating seamless swimmer pathways.
