PHARMACY ASSISTANT WANTED.

This opportunity does extend to experienced Pharmacy Assistants willing to learn.

About the role:

Good Price Pharmacy Albion Park Rail is seeking a highly motivated individual(s) to fulfil a full-time or part-time role as Pharmacy Assistant.

The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for assisting with inventory control, management of paperwork and invoicing, and serving customers. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.

Requirements:

- Ability to work full-time or part time hours

- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

- Proficient in using inventory management software; POS Works, and dispensary software; LOTS Dispensary (or ability to adapt efficiently to new software, if inexperienced)

Responsibilities:

- Delivering professional and friendly customer service

- Providing customers with advice on over-the-counter medications

- Operating cash registers and EFTPOS machines

- Maintaining a clean and tidy workspace

- Inventory control; ordering and rotating stock,



as well as managing and maintaining appropriate stock levels

- Assist retail manager in daily tasks

- Keeping accurate records of inventory and sales

- Answering phone calls and assisting with enquiries

- Assist with prescription procedures: eg. taking scripts in and serving scripts out

Skills and Experience:

- Exceptional customer service skills

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Previous retail and customer service experience (preferred)

- Community pharmacy experience (preferred)

- EFTPOS, point of sale and cash handling experience (essential)

- Certificate II, III, or IV in Community Pharmacy and/or completion of the qualification of Support the Supply of Pharmacy Medicines and Pharmacists' Only Medicines (S2&S3;) (preferred but not essential)
