Key Responsibilities
- Program, Set Up & Operate: Write, modify, and optimize programs using coversational Siemens controls (Sinumerik) for CNC Lathes.
- Machining Operations: Manufacture high-precision components directly from technical engineering drawings to precise tolerances.
- Tooling & Setup: Select appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, and work-holding fixtures for maximum production efficiency.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect finished parts using standard precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure compliance.
- Workshop Standards: Maintain a protected, clean workplace and participate in team continuous improvement efforts.
What We Are Looking For
- Trade Qualified:
Australian Recognized Trade Certificate (Fitter & Turner, Machinist, or equivalent qualification).
- Siemens Controller Experience: Proven track record programming, setting, and operating CNC Lathes using Siemens G-code / Sinumerik controls.
- Blueprint Reading: Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T; specifications.
- Detail-Oriented: A strong commitment to precision, job safety, and high-quality workmanship.
