St John of God Midland Public Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Physiotherapy Manager to lead our Physiotherapy service on a permanent full-time basis. This is an outstanding opportunity for a collaborative and clinically skilled leader to drive excellence in physiotherapy practice and contribute to exceptional patient-centred care within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
In this role, you will provide strategic, operational and clinical leadership, ensuring Physiotherapy services align with organisational objectives and are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with best practice standards. You will oversee workforce planning, rostering and resource management, while supporting and developing a high-performing team committed to quality outcomes and continuous improvement.
Using your advanced clinical expertise, you will lead service development initiatives, provide specialist physiotherapy care for complex patient presentations, and champion evidence-based practice, quality assurance and patient outcome measures. Working closely with medical, nursing and allied health teams, you will play a key role in enhancing patient satisfaction, caregiver engagement and the delivery of connected, consumer-focused healthcare.
The Position
Manage the day-to-day operations of Physiotherapy services, ensuring that they are consistent with the Divisions strategic and operational objectives to deliver connected and consumer focused health care.
Ensures that the workforce is rostered effectively to enable expert physiotherapy clinical services.
Uses advanced clinical knowledge and experience to develop, evaluate and improve Physiotherapy services.
Accountable for the human, financial and physical resources of the Physiotherapy services to meet best practice standards, service delivery and safe patient outcomes in an accurate, efficient and effective manner.
Provides clinical services to client groups and circumstances of a complex nature requiring advanced practice skills.
Ensure prioritisation and delegation of duties of Physiotherapy caseloads for self and supervised staff.
Demonstrates consolidated, current knowledge of research, evidence-based practice in Physiotherapy and related clinical areas.
Acts as a clinical consultant for the discipline and within the specialty
Maintain effective communication with patients/clients, their families, multi-disciplinary team and external health professionals and agencies to ensure quality patient management.
Active participation in the multidisciplinary team including clinical meetings.
Participate in the physiotherapy department weekend roster if required.
Position Requirements The successful candidate will hold current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia (AHPRA) and demonstrate advanced clinical expertise and leadership within an acute healthcare setting. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy services, providing clinical leadership, and supporting the development of a high-performing, multidisciplinary team.
This position requires proven experience in the initiation, design and implementation of research and quality improvement activities, with a demonstrated commitment to service innovation and excellence. A sound understanding of a variety of public and private funding arrangements is highly desirable.
Applicants will preferably have a minimum of seven years’ clinical experience and leadership in a specialised area of practice, with a strong focus on collaboration, professional development, and continuous improvement in client outcomes.

Salary: $153,175 to $161,610 per annum plus 12% superannuation
Permanent, full-time opportunity, working 38 hours per week.
