About the role

National Civil & Foundations Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Piling Project Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. Based in South Melbourne, VIC, this is a strategic role that will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of piling projects from inception through to completion.

As Piling Project

Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role is pivotal to maintaining our reputation as a leading contractor in the civil and foundations sector.

Key responsibilities

- Plan, schedule, and coordinate all aspects of piling projects, including resource allocation, budgeting, and timeline management
- Supervise and manage in office teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project objectives are met
- Monitor project progress against budgets and schedules, identifying and resolving issues proactively
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, environmental standards, and contractual obligations
- Conduct site inspections and quality audits to maintain construction standards and specifications
- Liaise with clients, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to communicate project status and manage expectations
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports, risk assessments, and as-built records
- Manage project budgets, control costs, and implement value engineering strategies where appropriate
- Identify and resolve technical challenges and site-specific issues that may impact project delivery
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best practice adoption across projects

What we're looking for

- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or Project Management (or equivalent experience in the construction industry)
- Minimum 5–7 years' experience managing piling or deep foundations projects
- Demonstrated expertise in piling methodologies, equipment, and installation techniques
- Strong knowledge of relevant Australian standards, building codes,



and occupational health and safety legislation
- Proven project management experience, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to lead and motivate diverse teams in fast-paced, safety-critical environments
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and decision-making skills
- Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office suite including MS Project
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required
- Current construction industry accreditations or certifications (such as White Card)
