About the Department The Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC) drives the Premier's priorities for South Australia through the provision of leadership, trusted advice, strategic policy and central support services that advance the State's social, environmental and economic prosperity. Within DPC, the Recreational Fishing Authority serves as the South Australian Government's central authority for recreational fishing policy, reform and strategic coordination. Working closely with government, industry and community stakeholders, the Authority provides expert policy advice, leads strategic initiatives and supports the delivery of government priorities and election commitments to strengthen the recreational fishing sector and deliver sustainable social, economic and community benefits for South Australians.

industry and the State. Working collaboratively across government and with a diverse range of stakeholders, the role fosters effective partnerships, facilitates informed discussion on complex issues and contributes to a coordinated approach to policy development, implementation and evaluation.

What you’ll deliver

Lead policy and reform initiatives that support government priorities and recreational fishing outcomes.

Provide strategic advice, research and analysis on complex issues.

Prepare high-quality briefs, Cabinet submissions and reports.

Build strong stakeholder relationships and drive cross-government collaboration.

Represent the Authority in forums, committees and stakeholder engagements.

Remuneration
