About the role
Polytex is seeking a Production Coordinator to join our manufacturing facility in Leeton NSW. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient coordination and scheduling of production activities across our operations.
As Production
Coordinator, you will be at the heart of our production planning and scheduling processes, working to optimise workflow, manage resources effectively, and ensure timely delivery of products to our customers. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for quality and reliability in the manufacturing, transport and logistics sector.

- Proficiency in scheduling tools, particularly SmartSheet.

What you'll be doing
Production Scheduling
- Schedule production jobs in Smartsheet and assign tasks to teams based on capacity and deadlines.
- Calculate ETAs based on job requirements, team availability, and sqm measurements.
- Collaborate with the Purchasing Coordinator to align schedules with material availability.
Documentation and Communication
- Print job sheets, labels, and production forms, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and complete.
- Organize and deliver job documentation to production teams in a timely manner.
- Update Smartsheet with job progress and ensure accurate status tracking.
Material Coordination
- Liaise with the Purchasing Coordinator to verify stock levels and material availability.
- Conduct manual stock checks when required to confirm inventory.
- Support the Purchasing Coordinator in processing stock updates and material delivery confirmations.
Production Progress Monitoring
- Track job completion and mark jobs as completed in Smartsheet and HubSpot.
- Identify and address any bottlenecks in the production process.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with production supervisors to ensure daily production goals are met.
- Provide support for process improvement initiatives and cross-department coordination.
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in production planning, scheduling or coordination within a manufacturing environment
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
- Proficiency with production planning software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively across all levels of the organisation
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and data analysis
- Problem-solving capability with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving production challenges
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team whilst managing workload independently
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production terminology
- A high school certificate or equivalent qualification; relevant tertiary qualifications in supply chain, logistics or manufacturing are advantageous
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities and production demands
