About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the progression of Work Orders from planned stages through to dispatch. The role focuses on providing operational visibility, supporting customer delivery commitments and ensuring information is communicated accurately across departments.

Working closely with Production, Engineering, Procurement, Sales and Dispatch, the role monitors Work Order progress, identifies potential delays and facilitates communication between departments to keep workflow on track and support on-time delivery.

The Production Coordinator is also responsible for customer communication, working closely with Project Managers, Site Supervisors and other external stakeholders to provide progress updates, coordinate dispatch milestones and escalate operational issues where required.

Key Responsibilities





- Manage the progression of Work Orders from production release through to dispatch, ensuring key production milestones are achieved.
- Maintain production schedules across Production, Engineering, Procurement, Sales and Dispatch to maximise workflow efficiency and operational visibility.
- Monitor Work Order progress, identify bottlenecks and communicate operational impacts to support production continuity and customer delivery commitments.
- Provide Procurement with production schedule updates and priority Work Orders to support material planning and production readiness.
- Coordinate outsourced production activities to maintain production schedules and delivery commitments.
- Manage customer communication throughout the production process, providing proactive updates and working with Project Managers and Site Supervisors to manage delivery expectations.
- Coordinate freight bookings, dispatch readiness and delivery schedules to support DIFOT performance.
- Confirm QA completion and maintain accurate Work Order status, production milestones and NetSuite updates.
- Escalate production risks, material shortages, customer delivery concerns and operational issues to the Operations Manager.
- Support continuous improvements in production workflow, scheduling accuracy,



operational visibility and customer experience.

Skills & Experience

- Experience within a manufacturing, production or operations workplace.
- Previous experience in Production Coordination, Production Planning, Scheduling or a similar role.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple Work Orders and changing production priorities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across customers and internal stakeholders.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems (NetSuite experience highly regarded).
- Ability to interpret production schedules, engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Strong problem-solving ability with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving workflow issues.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining accurate production information.
