What can we offer you?

- $105,776.68 - $110,359.60 base salary (SCHADS Level 5) + 12% super + salary packaging options – increase your take home pay by 6 to 12% through our not-for-profit charity status!

About the role

The Program Intervention Worker plays a crucial role at Acacia Prison in Wooroloo, as part of the Real Support Network. You will be at the forefront of our reintegration and rehabilitation programs, providing group-based and individual counselling to men in custody. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most. Key responsibilities include:





- Counselling interventions are delivered in group and individual (1:1) counselling.

- Actively participating and ensuring that group facilitation is delivered to a high standard, which includes the ability to manage challenging behaviour,

- Delivering high-quality, qualified interventions in line with organisational expectations, which are recorded appropriately and timely.

- Ensuring the services provided facilitate positive client outcomes and targets, as set out via the case plans and expectations.

- Providing clients with accurate and current information that empowers them to make informed decisions/choices for themselves.

About you

To ensure success in this role, you'll bring:

- A tertiary qualification in a human services discipline, ideally a degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counselling

- Proven experience delivering services to clients who have complex needs and experience significant disadvantages.

- An understanding of and experience working in criminal justice systems and practices, including within custodial facilities.

- Experience delivering 1:1 and group-based intervention programs in AOD and FDV.

- Excellent administrative skills, with high quality, concise, and timely case notes, reporting, and referrals.

- Current National Police Clearance and ability to obtain/maintain prison security clearance.

- Valid Australian driver's licence.
