THE OPPORTUNITY

Do you want to wire up some of Australia’s best 4WD builds? We have an exciting opportunity for an Auto Electrician to join our Cairns head office and production facility. You will be working on mostly brand-new vehicles, fitting out premium trays and canopies with dual battery systems, lighting, fridges, inverters and more. in a clean and modern environment. This position may be offered at a leadership level for the right candidate.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Installing and wiring electrical accessories into tray and canopy builds
- Performing wide-ranging 12V/24V auto electrical work including fault-finding and testing
- Carrying out inspections and quality checks throughout installation
- Ensuring the health and safety of all customers, visitors and team members
- Working collaboratively in a team environment to meet safety, quality and production targets
- Maintaining workplace cleanliness and caring for tools and equipment
- Identifying, assessing and controlling workplace hazards

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate will have:

- A relevant trade qualification as an Auto Electrician
- Previous experience in 12V/24V installation (dual battery systems, solar, lighting etc.)
- Excellent quality of work and time management skills
- Strong, ongoing commitment to workplace health & safety
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-skilled team environment
- Sound knowledge of 4x4 Makes, Models and popular accessories and brands (desirable)
- Passion for the outdoors, off-roading and camping is a plus!
