We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Engineer to join our Melbourne team on a fixed-term contract. In this role, you will provide engineering expertise and project execution support for customised compressed air and engineered solution projects. Working closely with customers, OEMs, suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders, you will coordinate the technical delivery of projects from design through to commissioning, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, applicable standards, project schedules, and safety expectations. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who thrives in a project environment and enjoys delivering practical engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and support the execution of engineering projects to ensure delivery in accordance with agreed scope, schedule, quality, and budget requirements.
- Prepare and review engineering documentation, technical specifications, drawings, calculations, and project deliverables.
- Assist with the preparation of engineering proposals, technical submissions, and tender responses.
- Liaise with customers, OEMs, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project requirements are understood and achieved.
- Monitor equipment manufacture, configuration, and delivery to ensure compliance with customer specifications and project requirements.
- Inspect, evaluate, and verify project-related equipment, materials, and completed works to ensure compliance with project specifications, performance requirements,



Australian Standards, and quality expectations.
- Support factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), commissioning, and project handover activities.
- Coordinate document preparation and document control activities with Engineering Services in the Malaysian Branch.
- Identify technical risks, project issues, and opportunities for improvement, and work collaboratively to develop effective solutions.
- Ensure all activities are completed in accordance with CAPS and Ingersoll Rand safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate project records, reports, and engineering documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

What We're Looking For

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 3-5 years' experience in a Project Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applications Engineering, or similar role.
- Experience delivering industrial, mechanical, process, compressed air, power generation, or packaged equipment projects.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and relevant Australian Standards.
- Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Robust problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Knowledge of compressed air systems, power generation equipment, or industrial process equipment will be highly regarded.
