Introduction: Project Engineer - Civil | KCGM Project | 2:1 FIFO Join Zenith Energy and help deliver one of Australia's largest hybrid renewable energy projects. Zenith is delivering a major new 532MW hybrid power system supporting Northern Star Resources' Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines (KCGM) operations near Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. The project combines 256MW of wind generation, 138MW of solar generation and a 138MW/300MWh battery energy storage system, providing reliable, lower-emission power to one of Australia's largest gold mining operations.

Description: About The Role As a Project Engineer - Civil, you'll be an integral member of our project delivery team, supporting the planning and execution of civil, structural concrete and structural steel works across the project. Working closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, site teams and subcontractors, you'll coordinate construction activities, monitor project progress, resolve technical challenges and help deliver high-quality outcomes safely, on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities Support the planning, coordination and delivery of civil, structural concrete and structural steel construction works. Monitor construction activities to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule and in accordance with project specifications. Coordinate contractors and site teams to achieve project milestones and maintain construction progress.

Review drawings, technical documentation, RFIs and construction methodologies, identifying and resolving issues where required. Assist with the development of scopes of work, contractor packages and scope gap assessments.



Support quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) activities to ensure compliance with project and industry standards.

Maintain accurate project documentation, including inspection records, progress reports and as-built documentation. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate project activities and resolve technical challenges. Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with HSE requirements and site procedures.

Prepare regular project progress reports for the Project Manager and key stakeholders.

About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Minimum of 3 years' experience in civil infrastructure or major construction projects.

Experience coordinating civil, structural concrete and/or structural steel construction activities. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across project teams, contractors and clients. Sound commercial awareness with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience using project management software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.



A proactive approach with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. A strong commitment to safety, quality and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Project

Management qualifications will be highly regarded.

Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical and National Police Clearance.
