Injury Managment Doctors

Sydney

About us

Injury Management Doctors is a dedicated workplace injury management practice. When a person is injured at work — physically or psychologically — employers and insurers refer them to us, and we take clinical ownership of their care from initial assessment through to a protected and sustainable return to work.

Our model is built around coordination: doctors, psychologists, physiotherapists, and case managers working together so that no clinician carries a case alone, and no injured worker falls through the gaps.

As our referral base across South West Sydney continues to grow, we are seeking a registered Psychologist to join our clinical team and support workers managing psychological injury.

About the role

Reporting to our clinical coordination team, you will assess and treat workers with work-related psychological injuries across South West Sydney, with a clear focus on recovery, capacity, and return to work. You will work within an established, evidence-based framework and alongside colleagues who share the caseload and the decision-making.

Key responsibilities

- Conduct thorough psychological assessments and develop goal-oriented treatment plans with defined timeframes
- Provide evidence-based intervention for work-related psychological injury, including conditions such as anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress
- Assess capacity and readiness for return to work, and identify appropriate supports and adjustments

- Contribute to return-to-work planning in collaboration with workers, employers, and treating doctors
- Prepare clear, accurate, and timely clinical documentation formatted for workers' compensation requirements
- Maintain proactive, sensitive communication with all parties throughout the recovery pathway

Selection criteria

Essential

- Current general registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Sound assessment and evidence-based intervention skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with a high standard of professional documentation
- A current NSW driver's licence and willingness to travel within South West Sydney
- Full working rights in Australia

Desirable

- Experience in workers' compensation, occupational rehabilitation, or return-to-work services
- Familiarity with the NSW workers' compensation scheme and managing psychological injury claims
- Endorsement in clinical, counselling, or organisational psychology
- Experience providing telehealth consultations

What we offer

- A genuinely coordinated model of care — you work with doctors and case managers, not in isolation
- Weekday hours with no weekend work
- A structured, outcomes-focused caseload
- Ongoing support and development in occupational health and injury management
- A collaborative, professional team environment

Pay: $67,309.67 – $141,250.21 per year Work Location: Hybrid remote in South West Sydney NSW
