We’re seeking motivated, hands‑on horticulture professionals for full‑time supervisory and specialist roles delivering high‑quality horticultural services, maintain attractive and well‑presented public spaces, and contribute to green areas that are valued by the Ipswich community.

- Supervisor (Sports Maintenance)
- Supervisor (Nursery)
- Senior Horticulturalist
Supervisor (Sports Maintenance)
- Lead sports field maintenance programs, teams, contractors and resources.
- Deliver minor landscape projects and support day-to-day maintenance across sports fields safely and efficiently.
- Prepare work schedules to keep maintenance and projects on track.
- Supervise, mentor and develop your team to deliver high standard sports ground maintenance.
Mandatory requirements:
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence
- Cert 4 in Horticulture studies related to Turf Management
- Current QLD A.C.D.C Licence or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
This is a full‑time position with a salary commencing at $79,616 plus 12.5% superannuation.

Supervisor (Nursery)
- Lead plant production and nursery operations.
- Oversee the delivery of a customer‑focused free plant program.
- Drive proactive maintenance across nursery facilities and systems.
- Maintain irrigation systems across the nursery, propagation sheds and associated facilities.
- Support budgets, job costing and efficient day‑to‑day operations.
Mandatory requirements:
- Horticulture Diploma Nursery Level 5 or appropriate National Qualification or equivalent experience
- 3 years Industry experience in a production Nursery would be desirable
- Basic Computer Skills
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence
- A.C.D.C Licence (Current Qld) herbicide
- Current First Aid Certificate

Senior Horticulturalist
- Develop and manage horticultural programs at the iconic Kholo Botanical Gardens.
- Enhance the park’s botanical, cultural, historical and formal garden features.
- Maintain irrigation systems to support healthy, well‑presented garden and park environments.
Mandatory requirements:
- Current C Class Driver’s licence
- Cert 4 in Horticulture studies and/or relevant experience
- Current QLD A.C.D.C Licence or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
This is a full‑time position with a salary commencing at $78,175 plus 12.5% superannuation.

About You
You bring practical horticulture experience, a safety‑first mindset and the ability to communicate well, solve problems and deliver quality work.
- Successful completion and evidence of a General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) card
- FIT Testing - Respiratory protection equipment - workers must pass a respirator fit test before they first start wearing a tight‑fitting respirator and at regular intervals during their employment and must be clean‑shaven or only have facial hair that doesn’t interfere with the fitting surfaces and the valve of the respirator.
