About the role

Closer Communications is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Public Relations Account Executive to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position based in our Alexandria office. As a Public Relations Account Executive, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional PR campaigns and client services.

You will work on diverse client accounts, managing media relations, developing strategic communications campaigns, and building strong relationships with journalists, influencers and key stakeholders. This role offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact whilst developing your expertise across all facets of public relations.

Key responsibilities

- Develop and implement integrated public relations strategies and campaigns for a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media contacts, journalists, and influencers to secure quality coverage and brand visibility
- Create compelling press releases, media kits, fact sheets, and other communications materials that effectively communicate client messages and key information
- Coordinate media outreach campaigns, pitch stories to journalists, and manage media inquiries and interview requests
- Monitor and analyse media coverage, track campaign performance metrics, and provide comprehensive reports to clients on PR outcomes and return on investment
- Coordinate influencer programs big and small through identifying, negotiating and briefing a wide range of content creators
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure consistent brand messaging and campaign delivery
- Develop content calendars and manage social media programs to drive growth and engagement.
- Manage multiple client accounts simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and client expectations are exceeded
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions and pitch meetings to develop innovative PR solutions and campaigns





What we're looking for

- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience in PR or communications
- 1-3 years' experience in a public relations agency, in-house communications team, or related role demonstrating a solid understanding of PR principles and best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives and messaging for diverse audiences
- Strong media relations skills and experience pitching stories to journalists across print, broadcast, digital and social media platforms
- Proficiency in using PR software tools and platforms, as well as social media management and monitoring tools
- Outstanding organisational and project management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple client accounts and meet competing deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment whilst also showing initiative and the ability to work independently
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to measure, analyse and report on campaign performance and media outcomes
- Qualified presentation skills and the ability to build rapport with clients, media contacts and stakeholders at all levels
- A genuine passion for communications, current affairs, and staying up-to-date with media trends and industry development.
