Role Description The QA Engineer / Automation Test Engineer will work on a part-time, remote basis to ensure the quality and reliability of software and systems that support renewable energy and power transmission projects. Day-to-day tasks include designing and executing automated test scripts, creating test plans and test cases, and validating current features and system integrations. The role involves identifying, documenting, and tracking defects, collaborating closely with developers and project engineers to resolve issues, and contributing to continuous improvement of testing processes.

The engineer will also participate in regression testing, performance and reliability testing, and help maintain testing frameworks and tools to support ongoing and future projects.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in software testing principles, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.

Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG, or similar).





Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language commonly used for automation (such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#).

Experience working with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and issue-tracking tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Jira, or similar).

Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies, with ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Knowledge of or interest in renewable energy, power systems, or industrial control systems is highly beneficial.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote, part-time environment.

Clear written and verbal communication skills in English; Portuguese proficiency is a plus.
