Are you studying Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field and looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment?

Garlo’s Pies is offering an exciting Quality Assurance Internship opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who wants real industry exposure in QA, food safety, and compliance.

This is an unpaid internship designed to provide strong practical experience and industry training. However, we offer valuable benefits to support you during your placement.

Exposure to HACCP, GMP, and real production environments

? Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

Conduct GMP audits across production areas

Raise internal NCRs, follow up on corrective actions, and close them in the quality system

Perform pH testing on pastries

Conduct protein swab analysis and report results





Assist with water testing sample collection

Perform X-ray rejection analysis

Documentation & Reporting:

Assist in preparing quality reports

Support the preparation and updating of quality documents

Deliver production documents across departments

Print and distribute documents to production, post-production, and warehouse teams

Product Testing & Sensory:

Prepare and report on taste panels

Bake products for taste panel sessions and retention sample analysis

Set up data loggers and download/analyse recorded data

? About You:

Currently studying Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related discipline

Strong attention to detail

Good written and verbal communication skills

Comfortable working in a production/manufacturing environment

Eager to learn and build a career in Quality Assurance
