Our client is a well-established construction contractor specialising in concrete structures, formwork, reinforcement and civil concrete works across Sydney. With a strong pipeline of projects and a reputation for quality delivery, they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator / Contracts Administrator to join their team.
This is an office-based role located in Smithfield, with occasional site visits to projects within a 50km radius.
The Role
You will play a key role in the successful commercial delivery of projects by managing estimating, tendering, contract administration and subcontractor management functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare estimates and quantity take-offs
- Review and submit tenders
- Prepare and manage scopes of work
- Contract administration and project cost control
- Manage subcontractor performance and variations
- Assist with project budgeting and forecasting
- Oversee commercial aspects of concrete, formwork and reinforcement trades
- Conduct occasional site visits and liaise with project teams
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
- Current AIQS membership (essential)
- Experience using estimating and project management software
- Strong commercial, contractual and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills with fluent spoken and written English
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Valid driver's licence
