About You

You are a seasoned commercial lawyer with a minimum of 8 years' experience, bringing a robust track record from private practice or in-house roles within large organisations.

Your Experience & Expertise:

- Experience as a commercial litigation lawyer or as a general commercial lawyer with experience or exposure to managing contentious matters
- Some experience with franchising arrangements, franchise agreements, franchise disputes or related regulatory issues would be advantageous
- Ability to assess legal risk in commercial disputes and provide practical, business-focused advice
- Ability to review, interpret and apply contractual rights and obligations in a practical business context

Your Skills & Attributes:

- Strong legal judgement and the ability to identify key risks quickly
- Confidence dealing with senior internal stakeholders and external legal advisers
- Commercial acumen and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
- Proactive, responsive and solutions-focused working style
- Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced in-house environment and ability to hit the ground running

Requirements:

- Current Australian practising certificate




- Right to live and work in Australia
