The Role

We are seeking experienced Commercial Finance Specialists and Commercial Specialists to support complex Defence procurement and contract management activities. These roles will provide commercial, procurement and financial expertise across acquisition and sustainment programs, ensuring compliance, value for money outcomes and effective stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

- Support complex procurement activities, including procurement strategies, tender documentation, evaluations and approvals.
- Provide contract management support, including contract variations, performance management, governance and compliance activities.
- Deliver commercial and financial advice to stakeholders, identifying risks and recommending effective solutions.
- Prepare briefing papers, reports, approval documentation and other commercial artefacts.
- Build and maintain robust stakeholder relationships while supporting negotiations, meetings and program outcomes.

Required Skills & Experience

- Minimum 8 years' experience working within Defence commercial,



procurement and/or contract management environments.
- Demonstrated experience using ASDEFCON documentation and applying Defence procurement processes.
- Strong understanding of procurement methodologies, contract management and commercial governance.
- Excellent communication, analytical and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work independently.
- For Commercial Finance Specialist positions, experience in pricing analysis, financial modelling, pricing negotiations, cost assurance and supplier price evaluation is highly desirable.
- Current NV1 Security Clearance (minimum).
- Ability to travel occasionally to Defence and stakeholder locations as required.
