Summary

Reporting to the Laboratory Team Leader and working closely with the Principal Scientists, the Research Assistant willperformcell-basedassayfor thecharacterization of the cellular and humoral immune response, using flow cytometry.

Responsibilities

- Performcell-basedassays using various standard operating proceduresin PC2 environment;
- Conduct experiments (e.g.blood processing, cellcounting andcryopreservation,complex multi-stepantibody staining)
- Manage reagent inventories and orders;
- Participate in thesample management andtechnical management of the laboratory;
- Perform workin accordance withinternal quality standards, apply the relevant Quality Systemproceduresandparticipatein the continuous improvement of Quality documents;

Education

- MinimumBachelor'sdegree in life sciences such as biology, medicalbiologyor biochemistry/biotechnology.

Main Requirements

- Experiencelevelcan vary, however, a minimum of 1 year experience insimilarposition isrequired.
- Blood sample processing and cell cryopreservation techniques, cell culture techniques, antibody staining procedures.




- Knowledge and understanding of GLP, GCLP regulations sufficient to carry out GLP studies;
- Knowledge of procedures and protocols for containment of biohazardous material; ability to understand safety procedures and guidelines.
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of immunologyand flow cytometryrelated techniquesis an advantage.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational skillsand high attention to details;
- Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in terms of scheduling;

Working Conditions

- Availability to work in Mon-Fri and Tue-Sat shifts.
- Ability to work 9am-5pm and 11am to 7pm shift.
