Contact Group is seeking a Refrigeration Mechanic with experience in maintenance and installations for our Burnie branch.

The Role

By joining us as a Refrigeration Mechanic in the HVAC & R Division you will be required to work Monday to Friday although the opportunity for some weekend and after-hours work may be available on an Ad-Hoc basis.

Responsibilities include:

- Aircon installation, maintenance & repairs

- Handling basic repairs and maintenance

- Undertake day to day preventative/reactive maintenance

- Supervision of apprentices

- Fault diagnostic works including maintenance and refurbishment

- Reporting of work carried out in our digital Job management system

The successful applicant will have the following attributes:





- Experienced in Refrigeration & Mechanical services installations, commercial works, maintenance and repairs

- Competent person with excellent people skills and a clean and tidy presentation

- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team

- Attention to detail, problem solving and sound judgment

- Self-motivated and organised

- Ability to use app-based programs

Minimum requirements:

- Cert III Refrigeration with current ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence

- Practitioner’s license
- A current car driver's license

- White card (Construction)

- Willing to have a police check

- Willing to obtain a working with Vulnerable people card

Desirable:

- Gas would be highly desirable but not essential

- Cert 3 Electro-tech (dual trade)

All field-based positions are conditional to a medical being undertaken
