This is a new part‑time role in the finance team of a professional sporting club. It exists because the club needs a reliable, detail‑oriented person to own the day‑to‑day transactional layer — accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll data entry, reconciliations and general office admin. The role is Monday‑to‑Friday, 9:30 am to 2:30 pm (25 to 30 hours per week), from the club’s offices in South Brisbane.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable – invoices matched, approved and filed.
- Manage accounts receivable – raise invoices and follow up outstanding balances.
- Handle end‑to‑end payroll data each pay period and flag anomalies.
- Complete daily bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Reconcile credit card transactions with documentation.
- Assist with month‑end close and prepare supporting schedules.
- Answer incoming calls and manage general office administration.
Qualifications
- Experience across AP, AR, payroll data entry and reconciliations.
- Experience with Xero and Employment Hero is well regarded.
- Transparent communication and discretion with confidential information.
- Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check, QLD).
- Ability to manage competing deadlines without slipping.
